Webinar registration rate

Webinar registration rate is the percentage of people who sign up for a webinar out of everyone who saw the invitation or landing page — a measure of how compelling your topic and registration page are.

Registration rate vs. attendance rate

Don't confuse the two. Registration rate measures landing-page-visitor → sign-up. Attendance rate measures sign-up → actually-showed-up. Compiled 2026 benchmarks put average attendance at roughly 49–58% of registrants (Univid/TwentyThree, via Zoom, 2026) — so a healthy registration rate still loses roughly half its sign-ups to no-shows. Both stages sit in the webinar funnel.

How to lift registration rate

Registration rate is mostly about the promise: a specific, outcome-led title, a clean landing page, social proof, and a low-friction form. Webinar invitation emails also punch above their weight — around 1.7× the open rate and 4.5× the click rate of general marketing email (BigMarker, via Zoom, 2026).

The overlooked lever: reduce the wait

A just-in-time or on-demand option can lift both registration and attendance, because "watch now" converts better than "register for a session three days away." More on lifting the show-up half in how to increase webinar show-up rate.
